Yesterday I checked my oil. I needed more oil. So instead of throwing away the paper towel, I put it a little bit under the hood (so it wouldn't blow away), bought some oil and poured it in. Then I closed the hood, dropping it pretty much all the way. Only to realize that I hadn't taken out the paper towel. Oops. So I open the hood....or rather try to open it. It won't open. When I closed the hood something had gone flying so I'm like "Oh great! Now I've broken the latch on my hood and it won't ever open again!" So I drove around town (with the paper towel sticking out of the corner of my hood, although not overly noticeable...) So tonight I was bemoaning all the problems with the car (like it will randomly speed up by itself) and saying how I think I did something to the hood and it won't open. So tonight, when we got back from prayer meeting, I was like "Come try to open it" as I demonstrated that it wasn't working. Then my mom was like, "Did you release it?" .........yeah, you know that thing you have to pull in the car so that you can open the hood.....yeah.....um..........I guess my hood's not broken!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-01-18T03:31:48Z</dcterms:modified>

Frog Legs Anyone?

This little frog enjoyed the sun a little too much and was slowly fried to a crisp on our window sill. He's real but hard as rock.

Today we found his counterpart, also fried to a crisp but with some added smooshing to start the process.

UPDATE: My mom found another cooked frog today. Seriously....is it hot or what!?!??

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-07-30T01:48:05Z</dcterms:modified>

Kid Funnies

I was always skeptical of whether or not kid funnies were true or not, kid funnies being those retelling of funny things kids have said. The seemed too smart, too witty. Yesterday I was filling in as a teacher's aid in the Kindergaten - Grade 2 class. A part of my duties was to read the Bible story for the class. It was the story of how one of King David's sons, Adonijah, tried to make himself king but before he could, King David made Solomon king. Scared for his life Adonijah ran to the temple to grab the horns of the altar, a way of putting himself under GOD's protection. At the end of the story there are questions. One of them asked what Adonijah went to the temple to do. Well, one little girl's hand shot up. "To grab a trumpet!"

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-02-20T04:19:59Z</dcterms:modified>
